Viburnum odoratissimum Awabuki

EVERGREEN. It is highly prized for its large, leathery, glossy emerald-green leaves which offer a polished, mirror-like finish. In late spring and summer, it bursts with dense clusters of tiny, fragrant white flowers, followed by ornamental red berries that ripen to black. Highly tolerant of heat, frost, and coastal conditions, its dense, upright architecture makes it a premier choice for premium privacy screens, formal hedges, and architectural backdrops.

MATURE SIZE: 3-4m tall x 2-3m wide.
